Building Something Special at CCRM Fertility of Chicago
This past Monday marked a major milestone—we officially kicked off team training for CCRM Fertility of Chicago. It’s a moment I’ve been looking forward to for months, and now that it’s finally here, I’m feeling more energized and inspired than ever.
I had the privilege of personally interviewing each member of our team during the hiring process. I chose every individual for their unique strengths—whether that was deep clinical expertise, compassion-driven patient care, operational know-how, or a personal connection to the fertility journey. But even with all that in mind, seeing them come together in person for the first time was something else entirely. There was an incredible sense of shared purpose in the room. You could actually feel the excitement and passion for what we’re about to build together—a state-of-the-art fertility clinic grounded in empathy, excellence, and innovation.
This week’s training was intentionally focused on team building. Before we even see our first patient on **May 19th**, we wanted to lay the foundation for a strong, connected team—one that supports one another just as much as we’ll support the patients walking through our doors. Starting something new, especially something as meaningful as a fertility clinic, requires trust, communication, and a shared vision. That’s what we’re building now.
To help us along that journey, I gave each team member a copy of one of my favorite books: Unreasonable Hospitality by Will Guidara. If you haven’t read it, the book is filled with powerful lessons from the hospitality world, but they translate beautifully into healthcare. At its heart, it’s about going above and beyond—not just for your customers or patients, but for your team. Because when you take exceptional care of the people you work with, they in turn are empowered to offer exceptional care to others.
We’re not just opening a clinic. We’re creating a space where patients will feel seen, heard, and supported during one of the most personal journeys of their lives. And that starts with creating a team culture rooted in connection and purpose.
Stay tuned—there’s so much more to come. But for now, I just want to take a moment to share how deeply proud and excited I am about this team and what we’re building at CCRM Fertility of Chicago.
